Ceremony Parking

Dear loved ones,

Comfort Inn is just down the hill from our house, a 10-20 minute up-hill walk, depending on your pace. Grandma Lila did it in December, ask her how it was!

There is only street parking on our block and that will fill up very quickly. Limited street parking in the area so we suggest that people who are staying at The Comfort Inn do one of two things:

1. Sport a pair of walking shoes, pack your heels, and take the nice walk through the 'hood to our place.

2. Meet in the parking area of the hotel and hop in the designated "*shuttle" between 1:45 and 2:15 for a ride. The car ride is less than 3 minutes.

*We plan to appoint a designated shuttle driver on Thursday. Any takers?

There will be complimentary valet at Marvimon.

Love,
Steph and Flo

P.S. Take Benton uphill to Berkeley, right on Berkeley, left on Waterloo.

The Langham

Visited The Langham this past weekend and this looks to be our new "official" hotel as things didn't work out so well with the Standard. The grounds and views are amazing! If you're a foodie, the Langham Dining Room boasts a Michelin star and Top Chef contestant Michael Voltaggio is the head chef!

BAD NEWS: The Hotel has been changed from The Standard to The Langham hotel

According to our knowledge, there is only one outstanding reservation at The Standard that we are waiting on.

If you would like to reserve a room at The Langham Hotel in Pasadena, here is a personalized link they have created for our event:

You may also book through the hotel website with the code, HUT102309.

If you prefer to call and speak with a human, you can call the reservations department at (626) 568-3900 and access the group rate by mentioning the Stephanie Hutin & Florencio Zavala Wedding.

Local Delights: Manual Archives

Sadly The Manual Archives has recently shut its doors but for those who didn't have the pleasure this micro theater, owned and operated by CalArts faculty Susan Simpson, was host to a number of beautiful and amazing perfomances including puppet shows, musical acts and screenings. We will miss it's charm and wish them all the best.

Local Delights: LAMILL

We're still not quite sure how to pronounce it, but what we can tell you is that Lamill is the most chic coffee boutique in Silver Lake. Some say it's a little overpriced, but when you see the hardware behind the bar you'll understand why. If you're adventurous, try a Coffee and a Jelly Donut(it's not what you think).

Local Delights: Silver Lake Reservoir

If you go a few blocks west and a few hundred steps down from our house you'll find yourself at the edge of the Silver Lake reservoir. Afternoon basketball games play out adjacent to the always packed dog park. Whether you walk, jog or run, it's one of the nicest 3.75 mi paths in the city.

Local Delights: Echo Park Lake

Home to the Lady of the Lake, a paddle boat regatta, the Cuban music festival, street vendors, marathon training, and plenty of ducks, Echo Park Lake welcomes us as we spill out from the 101 freeway.

First introduced to us by friend, Kelly "Mama" Sears, Mae Ploy has a casual atmosphere paired with genuine friendly service. We LOVE the papaya salad, yellow chicken curry, Thai beef jerky and Keao - Sei.

A little bit of Calle Ocho in the neighborhood. This cuban sandwich shop and bakery has tasty eats and the strongest mocha on the eastside. Recommendations: Pop Over with Jam, Napoleon , Guava pie, Mango shake.

Local Delights: El Prado

Our favorite neighborhood watering hole. They keep it simple. Like the website says: Beer, snacks, records. And now they serve wine.
